Friendship

Camie Olsen has been my across-the-street neighbor since 2005. She and I really became best friends over the years. She is so easy to talk to, is so super sweet, pure, happy, and has the cutest laugh. I feel so at ease with her. She is just happy to keep things simple and managable for her family. Part of that is because she has MS and can run out of energy at any given time. Because of that she has learned to keep things real, and meaningful for the true needs of herself and her family. Her husband, Lance, is steeler too! He is a retired Army guy, true and faithful, honest provider, and genuinely good man. Her girls are the cutest too! We have looked out our windows everyday at their house, and she at ours, with a warm feeling in our hearts for the sweet friendship looking back at us. We love them dearly. (She is expecting a baby boy at the end of October. His name will be Orion Stephen Olsen. Orion is his dad's middle name -after the constelation. And Stephen is her father's name.)

Alakea and Grace, two 5 year old best friends.

Over the summer Lance and Camie felt promptings from the Spirit that it was time to move their family to the Boise, ID area. Their story is inspiring to me! So they took a few steps forward in faith, each day at a time. SO many tender mercies were given them throughout this time, it was incredible! On September 18th they drove to Meridian, Idaho to their brand new home. We hugged and cried and laughed at our departure. I miss her as my neighbor, but she will always be my best friend! We have talked on the phone several times since then, and I'm glad I get to still hear her voice and about the joys of her life. I wish them the very best and I can't wait to take a trip to see them in Idaho!
