Push your shoulder 'till it heals... push along

(The pictures posted backwards.)
Jason got shoulder surgery on Wednesday, Februay 11th. He got injured playing EQ football last summer. He reached out with his right arm to stop a guy from scoring and tore his own shoulder. He'll be in the sling from 4-6weeks as well as 4+ months of physical therapy. The surgury was a 'slap-tear' repair in his shoulder. While the doc. was in there he also found Jason's rotary cuff was inflamed and he had a bone spur. The doc. used tiny little cameras to see things. Jas only has four little incisions around his shoulder. Shoulder surgury is one of the most painful surgerys out there. Yikes! As long as he stays on top of the pain, it's not so bad. To Jason's credit, he's been a very good patient. He has to sleep in the recliner to keep his shoulder elevated. He needs to keep the electric blue ice pack on his shoulder to keep the swelling down. Jason was facinated with the 'feeling' of the nerve blocker they put on his arm to make it "dead" for the surgery. The ball on his arm came compliments of the sling; just for when his right hand needs some entertainment and muscle conditioning.
After same-day surgery.
A 'Yes' Man! He had to write on the shoulder he wanted the doc to fix. Just one of the visual checks the medical field uses.
Dead arm is setting in. And then some... no respect for the camera.
